What it is designed to do

CalmCook is for people who want cooking to feel less scattered: choose a recipe, see what is needed and follow the next step. It is Denny Cartwright’s independently run project, separate from KSJ Growth’s agency services.

The prepared app experience

• A launch collection of 72 recipes, with recipe browsing and filters.
• Favourite recipes to make useful choices easier to find again.
• Guided cooking steps, timers and a view of all the steps.
• Meal planning and a consolidated shopping list.
• Equipment and preference options to help narrow the choices.

These describe the app prepared for review. They are not a claim that the app is already publicly downloadable.

A more connected cooking journey

The idea is to join decisions that are often spread across different places. A chosen recipe can inform the meal plan and shopping list, then lead into the cooking instructions. Favourites help keep a useful routine close to hand.

Always check recipe ingredients, packaging and your own requirements, including allergens. The app is a practical cooking aid rather than individual medical or dietary advice.

Current availability

As checked on 14 October 2026, CalmCook is waiting for Apple review. A public App Store release has not been verified, so there is no download button or promised release date on this page.

What this work demonstrates

CalmCook is an example of designing around a sequence of user decisions, from selection through preparation to completion. Its place in this portfolio is as Denny’s product work, not a customer testimonial or a measured marketing result.
